Ms. Mareena Mariya Abraham of S7 ECE B received Toppers award from Architects and Engineers Association on 52^nd Engineers Day Celebrations held at Thrissur.

Project entitled “Braille Printer from Scrap Dot Matrix Printer” qualified in to the Manorama Yuva Master mind Final. The team members are Palatty Jesvin(S5 EC), Pranav (S5 EC), Varadha (S5 EC), Sruthy Chandran(S5 EC) and Bernard Bob( S5 ME) and guided by Dr. Suresh P (Asso. Prof.) and Mr. Jinesh K J (AP, ECE). Final Round held at Kollam and won First Prize among 25 teams participated in the event.

The same team got funding Rs 2 Lakh from KSUM.

Sooraj O R and Namboodiri Swathi Vasudevan of S6 ECE of Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur has won a grant of Rs 30,000 as part of Idea day presentation held at IIM Calicut on 5^th February 2018 organised by Kerala Startup Mission. The idea presented was ‘EXTRA HOME SCURITY SYSTEM’ which mainly concerns about the security of home. The idea was presented infront of a panel of experts and was appreciated by the officials. More than 300 Ideas were presented and 20 ideas were sanctioned for the grant.
